Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed Amended Senate Bill 104 (SB104) into law, also known as the "Bathroom Bill" or the "Protect All Students Act," which ensures students in K-12 schools and universities have single-sex bathrooms, locker rooms, and more.

Troy McIntosh, CCV's Ohio Christian Education Network Executive Director, will testify on HB407 as an interested party in today’s hearing. HB407 would regulate private schools that provide EdChoice scholarships to needy families–which would ensure they become more like public schools, including requiring the Department of Education and Workforce to create a report card for the private schools.

Two of Center for Christian Virtue's priority bills, Senate Bill 293 (SB293) and Senate Bill 304 (SB304), are scheduled to receive hearings in the Senate Education Committee today–Tuesday, November 19–at 3:00 pm. David Mahan will testify in support of SB293.

Moments ago, the Ohio Senate passed Senate Bill 104. The bill now heads to Governor DeWine. HB183 would require schools and colleges to designate separate bathrooms, locker rooms, and overnight accommodations for males and females in the school building, as well as any facility used for a school-sponsored event.

House Bill 475 (HB475), sponsored by Representative Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.), is scheduled to receive a proponent hearing before the Ohio House Government Oversight Committee today–Tuesday, November 12–at 1:00 pm. HB475 would prohibit state funds from being given to any entity that supports, promotes, or provides abortions; require local governments to report abortion-related spending; and withhold government funds from any local government that spends state dollars on abortion, and reallocate that funding to pregnancy resource centers.
