Dr. Monty Lobb to lead the Christian Business Partnership
COLUMBUS–Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) is pleased to announce Dr. Monty Lobb will join our team in January 2025 as Executive Director of the Christian Business Partnership (the Partnership), Ohio's only statewide Christian Chamber of Commerce and a partner ministry of CCV.
"The Christian Business Partnership has seen an explosion of growth since its launch just last year," said Aaron Baer, President of Center for Christian Virtue. "With Char Bonsignore heading up membership, the Partnership already boasts hundreds of members. Now, because of Monty Lobb's extensive business and law experience, the Partnership will be able to take a new focus on advocating for policies at the Ohio Statehouse to help their network businesses thrive in a free and fair marketplace. "
Before moving into his role with the Partnership, Dr. Lobb will finish the year as Executive Director of the Business Innovation Center at Ohio Christian University, where he has worked in a variety of teaching and leadership roles over the last 12 years.
Dr. Lobb is also a Fellow at American Center for Civic Character and owner of Kenosis, Ltd., an organizational change consulting firm. His prior experiences include serving as a Public Defender in Fairfield County; Associate Professor of Business at Mount Vernon Nazarene University; General Counsel, Assistant Secretary of State, and Chief of Staff at the Ohio Secretary of State office; and Deputy General Counsel at the Ohio Treasury. In 2004, the State of Ohio named Dr. Lobb the Certified Public Manager of the Year.
Dr. Lobb was also President of CCV–then known as Citizens for Community Values–from 1990 to 1991. During his tenure, CCV exposed the Mapplethorpe art exhibit in Cincinnati, which contained obscene pictures of men doing sex acts and of nude children. That landmark case launched CCV onto the national stage.
"I am excited about returning to CCV and joining the Christian Business Partnership team as we advocate, educate, and celebrate the sacred idea of religious liberty for Christian employers in their workplace, and fair and free markets that enable business men and women to thrive and compete in the American economy," Dr. Lobb shared.
Dr. Lobb received his law degree from The University of Dayton School of Law in 1988, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and English in 1984 from Olivet Nazarene University."
