The Save Women's Sports Act (HB6) is a CCV-backed bill that protects female athletes in high school and college from being required to compete against or share locker rooms with biological male athletes. Sponsored by Rep. Jena Powell (R-Arcanum), the Save Women's Sports Act is scheduled to receive its second hearing before the Ohio House Higher Education Committee Wednesday, March 29.

Senate Joint Resolution 2 (SJR2), sponsored by Senators Theresa Gavarone (R-Bowling Green) and Rob McColley (R-Napoleon), and Senate Bill 92 (SB92), also sponsored by Sens. Gavarone and McColley, are scheduled to receive their first hearing before the Senate General Government Committee today–Tuesday, March 28–at 3:00 pm.

COLUMBUS—Senate Bill 11 (SB11) is a backpack-style bill that would make every K-12 student in Ohio eligible to receive a scholarship to be used at a private school of the student’s choice. Sponsored by Sen. Sandra O'Brien (R-Ashtabula), SB11 is scheduled to receive its third hearing before the Senate Education Committee today—Tuesday, March 7—at 3:30 pm.

Senate Bill 9 (SB9) would expand the so-called Medical Marijuana Program. In reality, this bill would move the program from the Board of Pharmacy to the Department of Commerce, setting the stage for legalized recreational marijuana in Ohio. SB9 would also increase the potency limit from 70 percent to 90 percent and remove advertising regulations.
