BREAKING NEWS: Pro-Abortion Groups Approved to Begin Collecting Signatures for Ballot Issue
COLUMBUS—Pro-abortion advocates cleared another procedural hurdle today in their quest to legalize abortion up to birth in Ohio. The Ohio Ballot Board certified that the proposal from Ohioans for Reproductive Freedom—which includes Planned Parenthood, Pro-Choice Ohio, the Abortion Fund of Ohio, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Ohio—contains only one constitutional amendment.
The final step to put the issue before voters in November is for the abortion industry to collect and submit approximately 412,500 valid signatures by Wednesday, July 5.
The following statement is from Center for Christian Virtue Legislative Liaison Nilani Jawahar:
“While the Ohio Ballot Board's ruling was expected, we want everyone to be aware of the extreme measures behind the petitions that Planned Parenthood and other radical pro-abortion groups will circulate throughout the state. If approved, Ohio would legalize painful, late-term abortions up till birth, remove any parental consent or notification before young girls have an abortion, and allow men to pressure women into unwanted abortions.
“We urge all Ohioans to reject these petitions because of the harm this proposal would cause to unborn babies and women.”
