BREAKING NEWS: Ohio Attorney General Approves Language to Put Abortion on November Ballot
COLUMBUS—An intiative that would legalize abortion up to birth in Ohio moved one step closer to appearing on the November General Election ballot. Today, Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost deemed that the language in the petition—which was filed last week by a group of radical pro-abortion advocates that includes Planned Parenthood, Pro-Choice Ohio, the Abortion Fund of Ohio, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Ohio—is “fair and truthful.”
The measure now moves to the Ohio Ballot Board, which has 10 days to certify the ballot language contains only one proposal. With the approval of the Ohio Ballot Board, the abortion industry would have until Wednesday, July 5, to collect and submit approximately 412,500 valid signatures to put the issue before voters in November.

“This dangerous and extreme amendment is anti-parent and anti-woman. It completely abolishes current Ohio law guaranteeing parental involvement before any abortion is performed on their minor daughter. It also removes critical health and safety protections for Ohio women that are currently in place.
“If this amendment passes, the wellbeing of Ohio’s women and girls would be sacrificed so that the abortion industry can bring painful late term abortion to our state. Ohioans must reject this proposal.”
