Get the Scoop

House Bill 160 (HB160), sponsored by State Representative Brian Stewart (R-Ashville), is scheduled for its first hearing in the Ohio Judiciary Committee today—Wednesday, April 2, at 11:00 am.

HB160 would require all intoxicating cannabis—including hemp products—to be sold through licensed dispensaries, ensuring children can't buy a high at a gas station or other unregulated retailers.

HB160 would also strengthen regulations on at-home use and marijuana advertising to better protect children while maintaining the current tax rate of 10% for adult-use marijuana.
