BREAKING NEWS: Governor Signs CCV-Backed Ban on Foreign Money in Elections

COLUMBUS – Governor DeWine has signed the Center for Christian Virtue-backed legislation prohibiting organizations from accepting foreign funds and spending the money on ballot initiatives in the state.

House Bill 1 was signed into law over the weekend. The following statement is from CCV President Aaron Baer:

“Last year was a wake-up call to Ohio voters when a foreign billionaire poured millions into an organization that ran political ads across the state. Thanks to the General Assembly and the Governor’s decision to sign the bill, we will not allow our elections to be manipulated like this again.”
