WATCH LIVE: HB30 Receives Proponent Testimony—Aiming to Drop State Income Tax

House Bill 30 (HB30) will receive proponent testimony this morning—Wednesday, March 26, at 11:00 am.

Introduced by Representative Adam Matthews (R-Lebanon) and Representative Brian Lampton (R-Beavercreek), HB30 seeks to phase down the current state income tax to a flat rate of 2.75% over two years.

This bill would ensure fairness in the Ohio tax code by eliminating two income tax brackets, and lowering and flattening the state income tax to 2.75% for all Ohioans earning over $27,530.

If you can't watch the hearing live, you can watch the recording once it's posted.
