Center for Christian Virtue Announces U.S. Senate Forum Moderated by Hugh Hewitt

Five of the leading candidates for Ohio’s upcoming U.S. Senate election confirm attendance

Columbus, OH - Center for Christian Virtue, one of the nation’s largest Christian public policy organizations, will be hosting the American Leadership Forum: An evening with the Ohio candidates for U.S. Senate on Sunday, October 24 at 7 p.m. at Genoa Church in Westerville, Ohio. Moderated by national radio talk show host and author Hugh Hewitt, the evening will focus on where the candidates stand on issues that matter to pro-life, pro-family, and pro-freedom voters.

Invitations went out to the leading Democrat and Republican Candidates. To date, five candidates have accepted the invitation: Mike Gibbons, Josh Mandel, Bernie Moreno, Jane Timken, and J.D. Vance.

“It’s clear that in 2020, Evangelical and Catholic voters played a central role in the outcomes of elections throughout Ohio,” said Aaron Baer, President of Center for Christian Virtue. “These voters care deeply about the future we’re creating for our families. That’s why American Leadership Forum provides a platform for meaningful conversation from the candidates in both parties to discuss the issues that matter.”

The Forum will be broadcasted live on 98.9 The Answer and Facebook. Each candidate will have a one-on-one conversation with Hugh Hewitt to discuss faith, leadership, and what inspired them to run. Following the conversations, all of the candidates will be invited on stage together for a conversation with Hugh and CCV President Aaron Baer to discuss the key issues that matter to Christian voters.

“Our goal is to help voters cut through the political spin and understand who these candidates are, and where they stand. Whether Republican or Democrat, the American Leadership Forum is focused open and honest conversation about the direction of our nation,” said Baer.

In 2018, Center for Christian Virtue hosted the only gubernatorial forum with four candidates for Ohio governor. CCV is continuing their tradition of nonpartisan, honest conversations with men and women hoping to represent Ohio voters.

Tickets are on sale now at ccv.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. The event will be open to the media, and press passes will be issued at least one week prior to the event.
