Special Election Today! Here are your 3 candidates and what you need to know

You might have noticed that elections look a little different this year. Because the new district map wasn't finished in time, Ohio has a second primary today for the candidates who weren't able to be on the ballot in May.

The 3 offices on your Special Election ballot today are:

One of the closest races in May was decided by 644 folks just like you. Your vote matters.

So before casting your ballot, we encourage you to research your candidates and prayerfully consider whom to support.

As a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization, CCV cannot endorse or oppose candidates.

To help you get a feel for where the candidates on your ballot stand, below are several organizations from across the political spectrum who have made endorsements.

Remember, whether you're a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or something in-between, knowing who has endorsed your candidates can help you determine which ones align with your beliefs, and which ones don't.

CCV is currently working on our nonpartisan Voter Guide for the General Election on November 8. Stay tuned for the release later this summer!

Next Steps

  1. Make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline for registration to vote in the special election was July 5th. If you missed it, you can still register to vote in preparation for the general election in November.

  2. View your sample ballot. This will give you the opportunity to research the candidates before voting.

  3. Find your polling location.

  4. Vote! The polls are open until 7:30 PM today.
