Save Women's Sports bill passes Ohio House

COLUMBUS—In a session today, the Ohio House passed a CCV-backed amendment to SB 187 to protect girls' sports in a 57-36 vote. After decades of fighting for their Title IX rights, SB 187 will guarantee that women and girls can continue to play and win on a level playing field.

The following statement is from Center for Christian Virtue President Aaron Baer:

“No girl should have her opportunity to compete on a level playing field stolen away. That’s why lawmakers across the country are standing up to ensure every girl, from kindergarten to college, has a fair opportunity to compete.

“It’s common sense, and the Ohio House showed true courage today by sending a message that we value girls, and want to make sure every student, no matter how they identify, can have fair play in Ohio.

"Thank you to Speaker Cupp for bringing the bill to the House floor, and Representatives Stoltzfus, Schmidt, Carruthers, and Click for their strong words of support on the floor.

And a special thank you to Rep. Jena Powell for her strong leadership on this important issue.”

Urge your state senator to support protecting the integrity of women’s sports as the bill makes its way to the Ohio Senate:
