Reviving Families and faith with JP De gance

Did you know more than 70 percent of churches in America have no active marriage ministry? Communio is on a mission to change that—while also helping churches evangelize in their communities.

In this week's episode of The Narrative, JP De Gance, Communio founder and president, sits down with CCV President Aaron Baer, Communications Director Mike Andrews, and Church Ambassador Network Executive Director Chris Lightfoot to explore how churches can take the lead in strengthening marriages and families through the hope of the Gospel.

The guys dive into:

⛪ Why marriages are struggling—and how the Church can respond

💍 What makes Communio different from traditional marriage ministries

💭 How churches can capture the social imagination of the next generation

🤝 How CCV and Communio's partnership will impact churches across Ohio

Before hearing from JP, CCV Policy Director David Mahan catches up with Aaron and Mike on this week's news: Ohio's Universal Basic Income proposal and the recent New York Times article responding to President Trump's pro-natalist policies.

More about JP De Gance

JP De Gance is the founder and president of Communio, the co-author of Endgame: The Church’s Strategic Move to Save Faith and Family in America, and the author of the Nationwide Study on Faith and Relationships.

Communio is a ministry originally incubated as the Culture of Freedom Initiative at The Philanthropy Roundtable, where JP served as the organization's executive vice president. The Initiative raised and spent $20 million over three years in three different states seeking to identify the most effective strategies to boost marital health, family stability, and church engagement. Today, Communio serves churches across the United States, helping them evangelize by applying what they learned from their successful intervention in Jacksonville.

A husband and father, JP lives in Virginia with his wife and eight children.
