First CCV-Backed School-in-a-Church to Open Fall 2022!
Eighteen months ago, Center for Christian Virtue shared a vision at our galas to transform the way the Church serves our communities and disciples the next generation.
The dream was to build a scalable model for churches to start Christian schools in their existing Sunday School classrooms.
CCV and our Ohio Christian Education Network would bring together church and community leaders, and help them navigate the regulatory and curriculum challenges that all new school launches face.
Since that time, the need for this project has only become clearer: We’re seeing unprecedented absentee rates in public schools, and radical ideologies penetrating our schoolhouses… and it’s children who are suffering.
I’m blessed to share with you that God has done it again and—through prayer and perseverance—made this vision a reality. Yesterday, the Columbus Dispatch covered the launch of our pilot school-in-a-church in the Hilltop in Columbus.

Westside Christian School is scheduled to launch this fall, and more than 10 churches have signed up to launch a school in the fall of 2023.
We’re also working to develop other school-in-a-church models to help every church that feels called to serve their community in this way provide a high-quality 5-day-per-week education for their students.
