CCV Purchases Former Columbus Dispatch Facility Through Affiliated Organization
COLUMBUS—Through an affiliated organization, Center for Christian Virtue (CCV) has purchased the former Columbus Dispatch building on Broad Street directly across from the Ohio Statehouse. The 30,000-square-foot, five-story building will house CCV’s growing team as the organization expands its efforts to make Ohio the safest state for children—born and unborn—and the best place to raise a family.
The facility is located at 62 East Broad Street, directly next door to another CCV property, 60 East Broad Street. CCV intends to list 60 E Broad Street for sale while remaining open to the possibility the Lord may provide other uses for the building.
“Our state and nation are facing many difficult challenges. We need the truth of the Gospel to light the way forward for our leaders,” said Aaron Baer, President of Center for Christian Virtue. “From our new location across from the historic Ohio Statehouse, CCV intends to cover our leaders with prayer and to influence our representatives to do the right thing for the good of our neighbors, our city, and our state.”
The building will house CCV’s many growing initiatives including:
The Ohio Christian Education Network: A network of more than 170 Evangelical and Catholic schools across Ohio advocating to ensure every child has financial and geographical access to a Christian education.
The Christian Business Partnership: Ohio’s only Christian Chamber of Commerce, which aggressively advocates for the religious liberty of Christian employers and for a fair and free marketplace that enables entrepreneurs to thrive and compete.
The Church Ambassador Network: A network of more than 2,200 churches committed to Biblical civic engagement.
“Our new facility will be a beacon of Good News for our state and nation,” said Baer. “Since our state’s founding, Christians have come together to be a source of light and hope for a hurting world. CCV will be better equipped to rise to meet the needs of the day because of our new home.”
Center for Christian Virtue anticipates fully moving its operations into the new building by the end of August.
The building was purchased from Gannett News, the owners of The Columbus Dispatch, at a final price of $1.1 million. Center for Christian Virtue would like to thank James Koon, founding partner of Koon Property Group, Thomas Mallory of Mallory Law Office, and Matt Gregory, Senior VP of Brokerage of NAI Ohio Equities, for their assistance and guidance with the transaction.
