BREAKING: Ohio Supreme Court Rejects Planned Parenthood Motion Against Heartbeat Law
COLUMBUS—The Ohio Supreme Court has denied the recent motion made by a group of abortion clinics represented by the ACLU to halt the Heartbeat Bill and enshrine a constitutional “right to abortion.”
The Heartbeat Bill protects the lives of unborn babies whose heartbeats can be detected on an ultrasound. It went into effect in Ohio the day Roe v. Wade was overturned. Since then pro-abortion groups have been frantically searching for ways to continue performing abortions.
The following statement is from Center for Christian Virtue President Aaron Baer:
“Planned Parenthood looks at an ultrasound image of a child and only sees a clump of cells. It’s not surprising then that they are blind to the law.
"Their lawsuit reflected the delusional and dangerous world they live in. But thankfully, our State Supreme Court is operating in reality and has rejected Planned Parenthood’s frivolous lawsuit. CCV is grateful for Attorney General Dave Yost and Solicitor General Ben Flowers’ quick and incredible response to the abortion industry’s desperate attempt to create a right to abortion out of thin air in the state Constitution.
“The fight is far from over, but we are confident life will prevail.”
