Ohio Moves to All Mail-In Primary Election for 2020
In response to the coronavirus crisis, the Ohio General Assembly passed legislation yesterday to end in-person voting for the 2020 Primary Election, and extend absentee voting through April 27, with the final day of the Primary Election being April 28..
What this means:
If you’ve already cast your ballot either by mail or at an early voting center, your vote will be counted!
If you are eligible but haven’t voted yet, you must request an absentee ballot from the state in order to vote. There will be no in-person voting for the general public.
You can either print off an absentee ballot request or have one mailed to you by your local county board of elections.
Absentee ballots must be placed in the mail back to your County Board of Elections by Monday, April 27. Find your County Board of Elections address here.
