BREAKING NEWS: HUGE wins for Christian schools, pro-lifers

State Budget Has Huge Wins for Christian Schools and Women Facing Crisis Pregnancies
Statement from Citizens for Community Values President Aaron Baer

COLUMBUS — The Ohio General Assembly just passed the state budget, which includes significant victories for pro-lifers, Christian schools, and families. Citizens for Community Values (CCV) will provide a complete breakdown after Governor DeWine acts on the budget.

The following statement is from CCV President Aaron Baer:

“While some states are moving to push abortion, and attack Christian education, Ohio has passed a budget that values life and empowers parents to pick the education that best meets their children’s needs.

“The budget passed by the General Assembly includes the most significant expansion of the EdChoice program in a decade, along with a significant growth in support for charter schools. We all know that when it comes to education, one size doesn’t fit all. The Ohio General Assembly has moved to help parents find the best educational setting for their children.

“Furthermore, the budget invests significantly in pro-life pregnancy centers that are truly helping women. These centers actually support women to plan for parenthood, unlike the abortion industry. While NARAL Ohio and other pro-abortion groups are promoting lies about pregnancy centers, the General Assembly has shown Ohio values the lives of unborn children and their mothers by allocating $7.5 million over the next two years to support the work of pregnancy centers.

"I want to thank Speaker Larry Householder and Senate President Larry Obhof for leading the way on passing a budget with such strong pro-family and pro-life provisions. Ohio has been blessed by your strong support for faith and freedom.

“Ohio is becoming the safest state for unborn children, and the best state to raise a family.”
