A Force for Good: CCV Grows Legislative Team
Rachel Citak joins the CCV team as Legislative Liaison

COLUMBUS – Citizens for Community Values (CCV), Ohio’s Family Policy Council, is continuing to grow their public policy team with the hiring of Rachel Citak. A University of Cincinnati Law School graduate, Rachel will serve as CCV’s Legislative Liaison out of CCV’s Columbus office.“Ohioans elected one of the most pro-life, pro-family General Assembly’s in our state’s history,” said CCV President Aaron Baer. “The Heartbeat Bill has passed, but our work to protect life, build up families, and defend religious freedom is only beginning. Rachel will help grow these efforts by bringing energy, passion, and expertise to the Statehouse.”Rachel will be CCV’s fourth registered lobbyist – the largest Christian public policy team in the state. She joins CCV President Aaron Baer, and Barry Sheets and Averel Meden, who contract with CCV, as advocates for a flourishing Ohio.A Cincinnati native, Rachel received her undergraduate degree from Xavier University. During her time in law school, she worked in Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, and the City of Cincinnati Prosecutor’s Office.Top on the organization’s legislative agenda for 2019 is blocking harmful “sexual orientation/gender identity” legislation, which poses the greatest threat to religious freedom and parental rights in Ohio.
