Ohio House of Representatives Passes the Heartbeat Bill
The Ohio House of Representatives has passed the Heartbeat Bill (SB 23) with a 56-39 vote. This bill would prohibit abortion once a heartbeat is detected in an unborn child.Because the bill was amended in committee, it must go back to the Senate for a final vote before heading to Governor Mike DeWine’s desk.“Elections matter,” said Aaron Baer, president of Citizens for Community Values. “Ohio voters have continued to send pro-life champions to the General Assembly, and today, we witnessed this hard work pay off.”CCV will send out the final votes in the House and Senate after the Senate vote.
