Media Advisory: No on Issue 1 Lima Press Conference
LIMA – Local lawmakers, judges, law enforcement, pastors and Citizens for Community Values are hosting a press conference on the harms of Issue 1 - a Constitutional amendment to decriminalize drug possession that Ohioans will be voting on this Tuesday, November 6.The press conference will be held in front of a 45-foot bus, wrapped with “No on Issue 1” graphics. As communities work to fight the opioid crisis, Issue 1 would devastate this effort, and tie the hands of law enforcement, the judiciary, and ministries to help people out of addiction and into treatment. Furthermore, by locking this bad policy into the state constitution, lawmakers would have virtually no ability to fix these problems. The details of the press conference are as follows:WHO: State Senator Matt HuffmanSheriff Matt TregliaJudge Jeffrey ReedJudge Tammy HurshJudge Matt StaleyJudge David RodabaughJudge Glenn Derryberry Magistrate Terri KohlrieserProsecutor Juergen WaldickPastor Terry BrockKeith Cheney, Allen County GOP ChairAaron Baer, President of Citizens for Community ValuesAnd other local elected officials and leadersWHAT: Press conference on the Harms of Issue 1WHERE: Lima Missionary Baptist: 3085 Yoder Rd.
