The Rundown: What is actually going on with Issue 2?

We’re voting in less than 2 weeks.

Are you ready to vote on Tuesday, November 7?Ohio has two ballot initiatives before the voters on November 7. Perhaps the question we’re getting most at CCV right now is “What is going on with Issue 2?”Issue 2 is all about the prices of medications for people who get their health insurance through the state, such as people on Medicaid, state employees, and possibly retired state employees. This is about 4 million people.Issue 2 would require that the state pay no more for medications than what the Federal Department of Veteran Affairs pays for those same medications. We’re staying neutral on Issue 2 at CCV – but we wanted to help you work through the what’s being debated. We put together this resource that does a side-by-side comparison of some of the hotly contested topics. We consider these to be the most important aspects of Issue 2, and want to help cut through the spin, and give you a straight-forward pro/con look so you can make an educated decision. https://www.ccv.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/CCVIssue2Explanation-1.pdfWe’ll be providing more information on Issue 1 next week. The Rundown is a weekly update from CCV President Aaron Baer
