The CCV-backed HB 249—if passed into law—will garner nonprofit ministries more donations. How? By allowing a 50% per dollar tax-credit for donations to ministries that serve low-income (TANF qualifying) individuals. In other words, it would mean more money for ministries such as homeless shelters and pregnancy centers, and lower taxes for the donors.
