WATCH: Nilani Jawahar Testifies on Bill to Exempt Nursing Moms from Jury Duty

COLUMBUS—House Bill 34 (HB34) would exempt nursing mothers from jury duty responsibilities. Sponsored by Representatives Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) and Angie King (R-Celina), HB34 is scheduled to receive a hearing before the Ohio Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, April 10, at 9:30 am.

Watch Center for Christian Virtue Legislative Liaison Nilani Jawahar testify in support of HB34.

Please note that the Committee's agenda may include other points for consideration, and HB34 may not be the first to be heard. Committee hearings at the Ohio Statehouse are open to the public.

If you're unable to watch the hearing live, you can watch the recording once it's posted.

To become law, a bill must go through both Chambers of the Ohio Statehouse to be sent to the governor for his approval.
