It's Time for Summer!
After a long season of COVID, we hope you and your family are able to get out for a new season of sun, fun, and vacation. Ecclesiastes 2:24 says, "A man can do nothing better than to eat, drink and find satisfaction in his work." May you find much satisfaction in a season of summer, rest, and restoration!
Legislative Update
The Save Women’s Sports Act had a terrific first hearing of Proponent Testimony in the House Primary and Secondary Education Committee. The bill, which protects women and girls from competing against boys in girls-only sports, was amended into another bill on the House floor and then passed. However, the Senate declined to pass the amendment. That said, the Save Women's Sports Act is still live in the House Committee as House Bill 61, and will continue to go through the hearing process. Likewise, the Senate has the same bill waiting to begin the legislative process in the fall.
Governor DeWine Protects Religious Freedom of Medical Professionals: Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the state budget last week, which contains a number of provisions backed by Center for Christian Virtue (CCV), including the Medical Ethics and Diversity (MED) Act. The MED Act ensures doctors and medical professionals cannot be forced to perform medical procedures that violate their conscience or religious beliefs, such as abortion or prescribing sterilizing, puberty-blocking hormones to children.
Looking forward to connecting with you in September!
Friday, September 10 is our next Faith Friday Conference Call. This is an amazing opportunity for pastors and ministry leaders to hear from state and national guests on challenging cultural issues from a biblical worldview.
We will be releasing more details as we get closer to the date, so please stay connected!
See you at the Statehouse in September!
Wednesday, September 8 is our next Pastors' Day at the Statehouse. Make plans to join us from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm!

Registration will soon be made available at ccv.org/pastorsday, so stay tuned for more information!
