Give Toward Student Scholarships Until April 15 and Claim a Dollar-for-Dollar Credit on Your Ohio Taxes!

In a state where two out of three 8th graders are not proficient in reading, three out of four are not proficient in math, and more than four out of five are not proficient in history and civics, Center for Christian Virtue and the Ohio Christian Education Network Scholarship Granting Organization (OCEN SGO) are committed to awarding scholarships to worthy students to attend high-quality Christian schools throughout the state to addressing this educational crisis.

You can partner with us on this project in a way that costs you nothing! Thanks to the Ohio SGO Tax Credit, individuals can make a gift up to $750 to OCEN SGO and receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit reducing the amount of Ohio income tax owed by the amount of the gift. Couples who make a gift in both spouses’ names can receive up to a $1,500 credit. You even have the option to select which participating school you would like to be the beneficiary of your gift.

Think about how powerful that is. Your gift can make the difference for a worthy K-12 student to attend a high-quality Christian school they otherwise might not be able to afford.

And the best news is if you have not yet filed your 2023 Ohio taxes, you can still make a gift before April 15 and retroactively apply the credit to your 2023 taxes when you file.

OCEN SGO awarded $1.6 million in scholarship to over 1,600 students this school year. Our
goal is to raise $5 million for next school year. You can help us accomplish this goal through your generous gift today, and receive a blessing back during tax season!

Visit OhioCEN.org/SGO and making a gift online or by check. You will receive an email receipt from OCEN SGO that you will submit with your tax return. Your generosity is so valued and will make a meaningful difference in the life of a student.

As Ohio’s largest Christian public policy organization, Center for Christian Virtue seeks the good of our neighbors by advocating for public policy that reflects the truth of the Gospel.
