BREAKING: Biden Threatens to Defund School Lunches Over Transgender Policy

COLUMBUS—Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost signed on to a letter with 26 other State Attorneys General calling on the Biden Administration to withdraw newly-released guidance for the free and reduced lunch program. This Biden Administration guidance would revoke federal funding from any school or organization that provides food assistance if the entity does not follow the Biden Administration’s transgender policy.

Attorney General Yost joins coalition of State Attorneys General fighting the latest attack on children.

The policy includes requiring that boys who identify as girls be allowed in girls’ sports, bathrooms, locker rooms and showers.

Attorney General Yost condemned the policy, saying, “Using hungry children as a human shield in a policy dispute violates basic decency. Aren’t there any parents in the Biden Administration that can see past the edges of their ideology?”

Center for Christian Virtue President Aaron Baer applauded Attorney General Yost’s quick response, “The Biden Administration has proven there is no ploy they won’t pull to enact their radical agenda, no matter who they harm. Now is the time for courage, and I’m grateful we have in Dave Yost an Attorney General who will not sit quietly by as children and schools are threatened.”
