ACTION ALERT: Save Women's Sports Act to Receive Second Hearing
COLUMBUS—The CCV-backed Save Women's Sports Act (House Bill 61), sponsored by Rep. Jena Powell (R-Arcanum) and Rep. Reggie Stoltzfus (R-Paris Twp.), is scheduled for a proponent hearing on Thursday, June 24th in the Ohio House Primary and Secondary Education Committee.
HB 61 would ensure girls have equal access to a fair playing field in Ohio school sports by prohibiting biological males from competing in women's athletic events. This is critical for preserving women's hard-won Title IX rights in Ohio, but opponents are trying to pressure committee members into not moving the bill.
