Faith Friday: A Look Back and Going Forward

The number three (3) generally reflects ‘unity’ and/or ‘harmony’

Three months ago, on Friday, March 13 - in the wake of the global pandemic COVID-19 - Citizens for Community Values, through its Church Ambassador Network initiative, launched Faith Friday Calls for pastors and faith leaders to understand Governor DeWine’s executive orders and to offer guidance for navigating through the uncharted crisis.

Director Michele Reynolds from the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives partnered with us and has been on the Faith Friday Calls from day one to provide clarity and updates, listen to concerns, and answer questions.

During these three months, Faith Friday Calls have educated, equipped, engaged and encouraged pastors and faith leaders through our guests, our answers to your questions and our consistent presence here for you every week.

Three months later, the pandemic curve has peaked and receded, pastors have guidelines from our Joseph Council for re-engaging in-church gatherings.

Congregations are resuming Sunday worship and life-group meetings in their buildings.

Faith Friday Calls have sparked and supported corporate prayer efforts from Holy Hour of Prayer to National Day of Prayer to 10 Days of Prayer, to The March for Jesus. Pastors have shared how their churches have served their neighbors more than ever before.

Behold, the Church has worshiped in new ways, and finally released some of its old ways. What the enemy meant for evil, God has turned it around for our good as many signs, miracles and wonders have been witnessed. 

Now, June 12, this coming Friday, for the first time in three months, we will not have a Faith Friday Call. 

Beginning in August, we will launch a monthly First Friday Call at 10 am.

During First Friday Calls, we will keep you updated on state legislative bills that impact faith, family and freedom; keep you informed on new orders or developments related to COVID-19 and continue to take your questions and provide you with timely answers as you shepherd your congregations and serve your communities.

During the month of July, CCV will ramp up our preparations for the upcoming elections. We will release our biennial Voter Guide that we make available at no cost to churches and ministries. This year, we will produce 250,000 Voter Guides.

Pastors, watch for a letter from me about a visit to your church from Aaron or I to get the Voter Guides to your congregation.
