House Bill 245 (HB245), sponsored by Representatives Angie King (R-Celina) and Josh Williams (R-Sylvania) and co-sponsored by an additional 41 state representatives, would protect children from being subjected to obscene adult entertainers.

The Innocence Act (HB295) aims to protect children from the porn industry by requiring Ohioans to provide ID for age verification when accessing obscene websites. The bill also prohibits a person’s image from being used against their will to create sexual content, such as “deepfakes.”

House Bill 183 (HB183) would require schools to designate separate bathrooms, locker rooms, and overnight accommodations for males and females in the school building, as well as any facility used for a school-sponsored event. If passed, HB183 would ensure men cannot claim to be female and enter women’s private spaces and vice versa.

The Parents' Bill of Rights (HB8) recognizes the fundamental right of parents to make decisions regarding their child’s upbringing, care, and education.

Every child is unique, and families should be empowered to choose the best educational setting to meet their child’s needs. At the same time, the Backpack Bill ensures that Ohio maintains strong funding for community and public schools.

Deceptively titled the “Ohio Fairness Act,” sponsors say this legislation is similar to the Equality Act in Washington.

SB132 prioritizes the desires of adults over the well-being of children. By deeming that “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” are classes protected from discrimination, this proposed legislation would allow men and boys in women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, and domestic violence shelters, as well as force girls to compete against boys in interscholastic sports.

The Saving Adolescents From Experimentation Act protects children from being “gender-transitioned” by adults. Passed into law on January 24, 2024, no doctor in the state of Ohio is permitted to prescribe puberty blockers or wrong-sex hormones, remove healthy reproductive organs, or surgically alter kids struggling with their identity.

Across Ohio, some of the largest clinics in the state were referring children to receive these sterilizing procedures, including Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

Passed into law on January 24, 2024, the Save Women’s Sports Act preserves the integrity of women’s sports by protecting female athletes from having to compete against biological males who have an unfair physical advantage over them.
